Creating eLearning Content Using PowerPoint

The part people don’t read.
Long before when storytelling and ideas sharing were still presented on chalkboards, papers or perhaps, Microsoft Windows Notepad, Robert Gaskins and Dennis Austin thought to take it further, displaying information in an easier fashion on screen. Microsoft PowerPoint was initially created to help businesses communicate ideas clearer with visual and text presentations in a slide show.
Today, it is no different, however, there is more than what PowerPoint can do, such as creating videos, gamification, and creating interactive content to boost engagement with your audiences.
The Marketing Fluff
Fancy having a stunning, interactive presentation, captivating video or even instructional courseware created by you? Perhaps you thought that doing designs is meant for talented people or expensive software?
Come and see for yourself what PowerPoint can do and push your imagination to the next level. If you are clueless about this course, do check out the introductory course for a better understanding before you sign up!

What you probably want to know
This is a 7-lesson course at 2 hours per lesson and by the end of everything, learners will have completed an eLearning project of their own. The course will offer a start-to-end journey beginning with a basic introduction to the tools needed for the project, followed by storyboarding, video creation, interactivity, animation, quiz and project launching.
Schedule Breakdown
In each lesson, the content will be broken down into 2 parts to allow easier absorption of knowledge. Starting with part 1 lasting 30 minutes worth of direct teaching, followed by another 30 minutes of hands-on and Q&A. The second part of the lesson involves 20 minutes of direct teaching, 30 minutes of hands-on and Q&A and ending off with a 10 minutes summary of the lesson as well as a briefing on what to expect for the next lesson. Note that, the lesson focuses more on practicality than theory as it is a skill-based programme.
If you are really interested…
Learners need to have their own computers with Microsoft PowerPoint 365 or any earlier versions not earlier than PowerPoint 2010. It is also encouraged for learners to come up with something they wish to create before the lesson.
